Fly With Me by Julie Phillips
Children's cardboard page book (26 pages)
Val was born in 1986. She was beautiful, brave and big-hearted. She had a
bold dream to become a jet pilot with the United States Navy, following
in the footsteps of family members who had served. With persistence,
patience, and prayer, she pursued her passion and was pinned with Wings
of Gold. In 2013, God called Val on her final flight to heaven to soar
with the angels on wings like eagles. Fellow female aviators paid
respects to their faithful fallen sister by giving up their proud pilot
pins to Val's family. Nearly 200 wings wandered in from all over the
world! These wings represent the collective strength of all female
aviators. These women left their wings with Val and now carry her spirit
with them in the sky. Val's legacy has continued to soar to great
heights through the Wings for Val foundation that Val's family started
to support women in aviation and to inspire future generations of female
leaders. For more information, visit wingsforval.org
